All good things must come to an end – Support for the 13 year old Windows XP is coming to an end. As you know, as of April 8th, 2014 Microsoft support for one of the most used Operating Systems in the world will come to an end.
Microsoft will provide the final public patches for known vulnerabilities in XP onTuesday, April 8th. After that, customers will face an increasingly dangerous future where cyber criminals dig up new vulnerabilities – perhaps by examining fixes for still-supported editions such as Windows 7. According to Computerworld.
Reasons why upgrade to a newer operating system:
- Productivity: A newer/faster system will increase productivity and will avoid potential downtime caused by cyber threats.
- Use of newer technology such as USB 3.0, wireless printer drivers, Bluetooth keyboards and 4K monitors.
- Biggest of of all security.
